The Hey Laney Wide Leg Jean is a full-length wide leg pant in a cool light blue chambray fabric. The color is a soft, medium-toned blue, similar in brightness to a clear daytime sky. It is clean and consistent across the entire garment with no fading, distressing, or wash variation.
The fabric is chambray, a lightweight, plain-weave fabric that shares a similar color range with denim but is thinner, softer, and more flexible. This chambray has a gentle built-in stretch, meaning it gives slightly when pulled and returns to its original shape. It feels smooth against the skin with no roughness or stiffness, and it drapes easily rather than holding a rigid shape the way traditional denim does.
The waistband sits at or just above the natural waist. It is wide, smooth, and fully elastic, with no buttons, hooks, snaps, or zippers of any kind. The inside lies flat against the body. The front of the jeans has a faux closure: the center front seam is sewn shut and does not open, but it is styled to look exactly like the fly of a classic jean. A decorative J-shaped stitch runs along this seam, and one round warm gold brass button sits at the top. The button is smooth, slightly raised to the touch, and decorative only.
