Love, Emma starts with girls and women with disabilities and chronic illness at the center of the design process. When you start there, the result is clothing that works better for a wider range of people. Magnetic closures make getting dressed easier for someone with limited hand mobility, and just as easy for anyone getting out the door in the morning. Pockets designed to reach comfortably from a wheelchair work just as well for anyone spending the day at a desk. A fit that stays in place whether you are seated or standing matters to someone in a chair, and to anyone who sits most of the day. When you design for a wider range of people from the beginning, everyone benefits.

Every piece comes with a voice.
Sewn inside every Love, Emma garment is a QR code label. Scan it with your phone and it opens a dedicated page that describes the piece in full: the color, the cut, the fabric, the styling, and how it fits, written to be read aloud by a screen reader.

Designed to fit whether seated or standing.
Tops are cut shorter in front and longer in back. Pants have a higher rise with more room through the hips. Dresses are cut with added width through the body. The fit stays where it should regardless of how you move through your day.
Magnetic closures, elastic waistbands, and zip-pulls.
Buttons and hooks are replaced with closures that are hidden, low-profile, and designed to look as good as they function. Magnetic closures align and fasten on their own. Elastic waistbands and fabric loop zip-pulls are built into each piece where they work best.
Openings to the chest and stomach.
Some pieces include a full-length side zipper with a fabric loop pull. Others open fully along the center front from waist to neckline. Both provide access for medical equipment, devices, or tubes without removing the garment.
Pockets you can reach while seated.
Front pockets are positioned and angled so you can reach them comfortably whether seated or standing. They open from the side of the mid thigh, wide enough for a full hand. Jackets have two pocket sets per side, with inner pockets angled toward the center of the body.
Wide leg opening, straight from hip to hem.
The leg opening is straight with no tapering, wide enough to accommodate shoes, ankle braces, orthotics, and prosthetics. The silhouette stays clean from hip to hem.
Inner pockets for medical devices.
Select pieces include inner pockets sized and positioned to hold medical devices such as CGM monitors, insulin pumps, and similar equipment close to the body and out of sight.

Brocade with a raised woven surface.
Select pieces use a brocade fabric where the pattern is woven into the surface, creating a texture that varies across the fabric. It is something you can feel as much as see.
